   Starting from May 8th British Airways will increase air traffic volume to Russia to 18 flights per week by adding three morning flights – on Tuesdays, Saturdays and Sundays. ‘Passenger load factor on this route is one of the best in Eastern Europe’, said Andrew Hammans, BA regional commercial director for Eastern Europe.
   Furthermore, Aeroflot will operate a morning flight from Moscow to London. Besides, Transaero is expected to increase the frequency of flights. In 2006 British Midland Airways plan to join the Airline Companies that already realize flights to the destination with a 10-flight per week quota.
    According to experts, the current increase of flights to England was stimulated by intergovernmental negotiations between Russia and Britain in March 2006. As a result it is planned to extend the geography of flights – new flights will be operated from Moscow to Liverpool, Birmingham, Manchester, while Heathrow will also welcome flights from Kaliningrad and Krasnoyarsk.
    According to Galina Tretyakova, Representative of BSI Group, the launch of new morning flights is especially convenient for businessmen and tourists due to early arrival to the country. Moreover, new flights will give more opportunities for transit flights, for example, to the USA.
    Meanwhile, flight cost will remain at the same level, despite the fact that British Midland Airways positions itself in the low-cost segment.
   Furthermore, travel market experts exclude the situation of dumping due to the forecasted growth of tourist flow to the destination. Thus, Nadezhda Patrenko, the Head of British Department of Russian Express, pointed out the reasons: firstly, the British destination is traditionally popular in summer. Secondly, interest in British educational tours is growing. Besides, Petrenko believes that due to the riots in France tourists who used to travel to France will partly switch to Britain.
