Thus, Olga Zhirekhina, manager of East – West, said: ‘in average the interest has grown by 15-20%’. The increase in demand for tours for children refers to such destinations as Moscow region, Bulgaria, the Crimea, Cyprus and Malta. Moreover, the sales depth is better than last year – at the moment the majority of tour operators book for the end of summer and summer camps are 70% booked. As for tour duration, two – three –week packages are in higher demand.
Meanwhile, travel market players cannot explain the current boom. Experts, in particular, Galina Skvortsova, the Head of Department of Children Resorts of Solvex-travel, believe that the present situation can be explained by growth in prosperity. The cost of a tour to a children camp varies from 350 to 1500 Euro depending on the destination, accommodation and air traffic type. Furthermore, some experts believe that the current increase in demand is expected being a result of the last years process.
